I am a Nak’azdli Whutene, sitting in Lusilyoo under the Frog Crest 

 

I have been Nursing in the hospital and in the community of Nak’azdli Whuten for 27 years, as of 2.5 years ago I have held the position at Nak’azdli Health Centre as Health Manager.  I am deeply committed and passionate about the health and wellbeing of our Indigenous communities

I have been with the planning committee since inception and one of the original Board Members when the Dakelh Primary Care Society was registered on March 31 2022.  I have acted as the Treasurer for the past two years and it has been my pleasure to watch this project grow to where it is today.

I’ve been apart of the Dakelh First Nations Primary Care Society Board for the last year and it’s been a great learning experience.

Rose Aslin is Tl’azt’enne and Lhts’umusyoo.

She is the Home Care Coordinator for the Tl’azt’en Nation Community Health Services. For over 30 years her position provides support for members within their homes.

Lynne Leon

My name is Lynne Leon, and I am the Health Director for Tl’azt’en Nation. I have been a member of Nak’azdli Whut’en for 44 years through marriage and have lived and worked in Nak’azdli territory for the last 49 years. I am very happy to provide my many years of experience in assisting the Primary Care Society in the fledgling years as a board member.

Dwayne Martin

Hadi / Hello, I’m Dwayne Martin, I am Dakelh’nee from the Stuart Lake area, I am from the Lhts’umusyoo (Beaver) Clan from the Great Beaver Lake Keyoh area.  My parents are Elsie and Cecil Martin, they live on Nak’azdli reserve.  I live in the Binche community with my son Samuel and have a stepdaughter Kayla Pierre with the two most lovable grandchildren Isabel and Axton Jopse.  no pets.  I grew up knowing where my Keyohs are, mother’s side is Gread Beaver Lake keyoh area and my father’s side is the Camsell Lake Keyoh area.  I was also a registered Trapline user and learned how to trap furbearing animals to sell back to Canada, my first business venture.
