The Dak’elh First Nations Primary Care Centre will be hosted by the Dak’elh First Nations Primary Care Society (DFNPCS). The Society was incorporated on May 31, 2022. The DFNPCS will provide ongoing functioning, financial management & oversight of the Centre with support from the .2 FTE Medical Director, 1.0 FTE Operations Manager and 1.0 FTE Clinical Manager. The Board has 2 members from each of the represented First Nations, 3 Directors at Large, a Knowledge Keeper and Youth member. After opening, the current Working Group will transition into a Project Advisory Committee consistent with the successful approach seen in a variety of Joint Project Board Initiatives in the North.
